Blind pigs and acorns

I've always enjoyed taking pictures of scenery and things but I usually don't point my camera at people.

I have a love/hate relationship with digital photography. For one thing it has diminished my skills as I no longer spend time thinking about a picture before taking the shot. In other words I'm now a "snap shooter". However, digital cameras allow me to take a camera along with me in places I seldom dared (or cared to lug) my old SLR film camera. And, though I took macro photos with the old SLR and waited 'til I took a full roll and sent it off for processing, only to be disappointed and unwilling to re-set the shot, a digital camera makes macros a joy.

Here are some shots I think prove that a blind pig sometimes stumbles on a reasonably good picture.
