The IOBO Humpy

The original idea of the IOBO Humpy came about soon after the IOBO. The motivation for it came from a request to tie some IOBOs in a size #20. At that time I was buying CDC feathers in those little expensive packages of 25 feathers all the same size and mine were ideal for size #16. I figured I could use the excess length rather then waste part of it by starting at the opposite end of the hook and then pull the remainder forward. The result was the IOBO Humpy version. This is the pattern Hans Weilenmann was given by the requester and which he popularized in Europe.
