Tie in the CDC feather butt on the top of the hook shank.
Start with two loops using only moderate thread pressure.
This helps prevent the feather butt from breaking. Increase
the thread pressure as you wind the thread to the hook eye.
Another thing that helps prevent breaking is to have the
CDC feather curving up and away from the hook shank.
