I decided to make a knuler for the little Taig lathe. And I took a slightly different approach to the traditional "pinch style" knurler. I ordered the knuling wheels and after they arrived I made careful measurements of both. A bit disappointing as there was a bit of variation in hole diameters as well as in the thickness of the wheels, nothing that couldn't be accounted for in the making but ....

I foolishly decided to learn FreeCad and spent a hell of a lot more time with it then it took me to do hand drawings and make the entire project. But for what its worth I include some of them:

The most fiddly bits to make were the blocks at the top of the knurler as shown in the drawing above.

The most critical dimension that must be maintained is the distance between the top of the cross slide and the centerline of the knurler wheels.

In the future I'll probably change the feet to lugs that will fit the "T" slots.
