The idea of light bouncing around in the round box was proof of concept and I initially was disappointed
to find out when I returned to the craft shop that they had no more. They did, however, have oval ones.
I was a little more careful about rushing to cut holes this time. Afterward I sprayed the interior with a
white paint. I fitted a piece of white foam to the curve at one end to make a flat surface for
the LED ring. At the other end, I glued a piece of poster board that I sprayed with body primer
gray, which is pretty close to a neutral (18%) gray card. Also, another electrical test clip was
inserted at the proper place in the bottom. I've switched to a smaller point and shoot camera.
The clip is at a position that I can use either macro or super-nacro mode. I use macro for
larger objects and super-macro for smaller ones. Exposures seem to be around 1/3 second at f 3.5.
Box, lid off. Box, lid off, self illuminated.
