This is a fun and interesting thing. Look up "depth mapping", it is a way to
do fake 3-D imaging. Fortunately for me another chap, Don Sauer, did the
hard work and wrote a GIMP script that does the job. I quickly ginned
up a couple of quick faux stereos without being at all careful. I think
they turned out rather well. I'll bookmark this for more experimentation
and more careful application on my part in the future.
