       Hook:  #18-24 Dry, Dry fly, fine wire
     Thread:  8/0 Black
     Hackle:  Grizzly, palmered
       Body:  Adams gray dubbing

This is really just a smaller version of a Griffith's Gnat with a dubbed body instead of Peacock herl. Tie a short thread base to bend and tie in the butt of a slightly oversized hackle.
Dub the thread, make two turns of dubbed thread behind the hackle and then advance to behind the hook's eye.
Palmer the hackle to the front in even turns. I like to make two turns at the rear before moving forward. Tie off by your favorite method.
Ready to introduce himself to some greedy fish.
