Maybe eliminating shake isn't the right description, my approach is more everything shaking together = no shake .... Einstein was right "it all depends on your frame of reference". A small piece of thin plywood scrap, a tongue depresser, a 1/4"-20 TPI knob and a scrap piece of pine. The seveal holes in the plywood base are to accomodate different cameras I've used.
A pedestal holds the flys. It is a miniature test lead clip found in an
electrical supply store, a dowel spacer and a button magnet. It
clamps to the washer on the tongue depressor in use and stores on another
washer so it doesn't get lost.
