There are a lot of backdrops for tyers to use, most either attach to the vise or are fashioned to sit on the table behind the vise. My solution, since I often haven't room as other devices to be attached to the vise, was to attach one to my tying lamp.

I used a length of 1/8" diameter thread rod, 4 nuts to fit same, some flat washers and a potato chip bag clamp. If I want to change colors of the backdrop a piece of craft paper or foam is simply clipped in.
